Create a Session

1. Create a New Session

From your fly-out menu, select the “New Session” button.
This opens the session setup flow.

2. Add a Location

The first step of the New Session setup is to add the Location you plan on shooting.

1. Click the “Copy your location from Google Maps” button

   

2. A new tab will open with Google Maps, from here you can find your location.

3. Once you’ve found your location you can drop a pin or ideally click a place name. (“Snapper Rocks” has been selected in the example below)

   

4. Click the “Share” button associated with your chosen location
   (Note: Random pin drops will have a “Share” button at the bottom of the screen)

5. A Share pop-up will appear, from the selections click “Copy Link”.

6. Navigate back to your Sport Shutter tab and paste the share link into the Step 2 field.
   Our system will process the link into your location name.

3. Choose a Date

Select the date your plan to take photos from the calendar date picker. Sessions can be scheduled up to 2 weeks in advance.

4. Set a Timeframe

Select from the “Start” and “End” drop downs to define the time you plan on shooting. If you start early or go overtime you can adjust again before publishing.

5. Set your Price

Use the slider to set your price per photo. You can adjust it again after you shoot.
The price you set is what you will earn per photo. Customers see a final price that includes service fees, allowing you to keep your full rate.

6. Review your Session Details

This step gives a quick overview of the details you’ve entered. If everything looks good, you can hit “Create Session”.

Once you create this Session it will appear as a scheduled shoot on the explore page (sportshutter.com/explore)

The Explore Page is where potential customers can discover upcoming shoots. If they find a shoot they like they can select “Follow” and get notified when the Session is starting and later when the photos are uploaded.

7. Share your Scheduled Session

The time between creating your session and the shoot itself is a great opportunity to share it. This gives people time to discover your shoot and helps you gain visibility with potential customers.

Sport Shutter gives you the ability to copy or create a QR Code of your Session Listing link in advance.

To get a shareable link to your Session, click the Share icon attached to your scheduled Session.
